About Adapta Languages
A language school built for the real world — not the classroom
Adapta Languages delivers personalised one-to-one English training for professionals who need clear, confident English at work. Every course is built around the student's industry, professional context, and specific language challenges.
Most language schools follow a method. Adapta has a methodology built around the student, not the school. We reject a one-size-fits-all approach because your English is not generic.
The problem we solve
You know English. The problem is how you sound.
You've studied for years. You understand almost everything. And then, in the moment it counts — the client call, the job interview, the board presentation — something breaks. Your words come out hesitantly. People ask you to repeat yourself. Or worse, they smile politely while missing the point entirely.
This is the gap most English courses never close. They teach grammar. They practice vocabulary. They don't teach you how to sound like someone who knows what they're talking about.
The research is unambiguous. A 2024 meta-analysis found that standard-accented speakers are perceived as more trustworthy, more hireable, and more competent across all industries. Pronunciation determines how you are valued in the room — before you have even finished your sentence.
This is what The Adapta Method closes.
Why Spanish professionals specifically struggle
- Pronunciation: Hard T sounds, the TH that English requires but Spanish doesn't, the /ɔː/ vowel, the /v/ vs /b/ confusion — these are predictable, and they're fixable.
- Rhythm and stress: Spanish and Catalan have fundamentally different rhythm patterns to English. Getting the stress wrong makes you harder to understand, even when the words are right.
- Subject omission: In Spanish, verb conjugation indicates the subject. In English, you must include it explicitly. "Getting better at English" vs "I'm getting better at English." One mistake. Repeated hundreds of times.
- False confidence: You understand everything in meetings. But understanding and speaking are not the same skill. The gap shows when you are put on the spot.
The Adapta Method
Three things we do that most schools don't

Pronunciation as foundation, not afterthought
Most schools treat pronunciation as an optional extra — one module if you're lucky. At Adapta, it's woven into every single lesson without exception. Every word, every grammar point, every new piece of vocabulary is taught with its correct stress, intonation, and rhythm. You don't just learn what to say. You learn how to sound when you say it.
Your curriculum is built around your actual job
A CTO needs different English than a Head of Accounting. Whether you work one-to-one or in a small professional group, your content is drawn from your industry, your role, and the real situations you face at work. No invented scenarios. No generic textbooks. The meetings you run, the clients you speak to, the presentations you deliver — that's our content.

Every mistake is logged and fed into the next lesson
Nothing gets forgotten. We record every class, review the transcript, and identify the specific errors you made. Your next lesson opens with those corrections. Over weeks and months, patterns emerge — you see the mistakes you repeat most, and you watch them disappear as the course builds on itself. Progress isn't assumed. It's tracked, measured, and visible.
Inside a lesson
How a lesson actually works
Every Adapta lesson follows the same six-stage structure, designed to build confidence and capability in real English — not exam English.
Personalised Warm-Up
5–10 min
Real conversation about your week, your work, your world. This is not a textbook exercise — it's how your teacher gathers live data on how you speak naturally.
Targeted Review
5–15 min
Your teacher opens with the specific errors from your previous lesson. Not a general review — your actual mistakes, corrected and practised until they stick.
Core Content
10–20 min
New grammar or vocabulary, always presented in the context of your industry. The examples are drawn from your job, not invented. Pronunciation is embedded from the first sentence.
Controlled Practice
10–15 min
Structured exercises that build confidence before you speak spontaneously. Your teacher corrects in real time — never interrupting, always remodelling.
Authentic Application
15–20 min
A role-play or real-world simulation drawn from your professional life. A client call. A board presentation. A difficult employee conversation. You practise the real thing.
Feedback & Next Steps
5–7 min
What you did well. What to work on. What's coming next. You leave every lesson knowing exactly where you stand.
Standard ratio: 60% revision and consolidation of prior learning — 10% pronunciation focus — 30% new grammar and vocabulary. Two sessions per week. 60 or 90 minutes per session. The same teacher, every time.
Why it works
The details that add up to real progress
Your mistakes have a memory
Every error you make is recorded at the end of the class using a structured tracking system. It becomes the opening of your next lesson. The result: nothing is corrected and forgotten. Patterns emerge. Progress is real.
The research is unambiguous
A 2024 Iowa State University study found that pronunciation is the number one reason non-native English speakers fail to communicate clearly. Queen's University (2026) showed that non-standard accents are associated with lower perceived competence and trustworthiness in professional settings. This is not fair — but it is real, and it matters. We address it directly.
AI efficiency. Human teaching.
We use AI tools to process class transcripts and generate lesson plans and progress reports. This frees your teacher to do what technology cannot: adapt in real time, read the room, and teach the version of English that sounds natural — not just correct.
Progress you can hear
Every student builds an audio portfolio. You record a baseline sample in Class 1. At regular intervals, you record again. Listening back to yourself at regular milestones is not a confidence exercise. It's proof.
In their own words
What our students say
“Before starting, my biggest challenge was speaking fluency in meetings and calls. I could understand quite well, but I often hesitated when expressing my ideas in spontaneous conversations. Since working with Adapta, I've noticed a clear improvement in my confidence, pronunciation and fluency.”
Anabel Puyal
Head of Accounting, ESR Research
“I now speak with natural falling intonation and connected speech that makes me sound more confident and professional. My team have noticed the difference in how I present ideas in meetings.”
Roger Sans Roca
CTO, ESR Market Research
“All exercises, role-plays, and conversations are tailored to your industry, job role, and daily communication needs. You're not studying English — you're practising the exact situations you face at work.”

The person behind the method
Jordan Radley
Jordan is a native British English speaker with over nine years of teaching experience working with international professionals. He is CELTA certified and has spent the past decade specialising in one-to-one English for professional adults.
His methodology was built from observation — watching what actually worked and what didn't across hundreds of lessons with professionals at every level, in industries from anaesthesiology to technology to law.
The result is a teaching approach that prioritises pronunciation, personalisation, and continuity above everything else — because those are the three factors that determine whether a professional's English improves or stagnates.
Every student at Adapta is paired with a dedicated, expert educator trained specifically in The Adapta Method. We don't just assign native speakers; we assign teachers who understand how to dismantle and elevate professional communication.
